SWEET CHERRY PICKING BEGINS MAY 19, 2012!
In addition to retail sales at our packhouse, Levering Orchard offers the pick-year-own experience. This year, with cherries only, we are considering a $5.00 to $10.00 per car user fee -- which translates to EATING FEE! -- as you enter the orchard. This is because we have noticed an increase in the number of customers who come simply to eat cherries from the tree -- and pick none to take home. If we do implement this fee, the money will be returned to you if the amount of cherries purchased by passengers in the car equals the amount of the fee.
Listed below are the dates we anticipate as "start dates" for picking and selling our different fruits. With the exception of May 19, these are ESTIMATED start dates -- it's very hard to be sure a long ways ahead of time, because of weather and other factors. Sometimes we have to begin a little sooner than we estimated, at other times, a little later, to let the fruit ripen. Mother Nature can be fickle. So phoning or e-mailing ahead before you come is STRONGLY ADVISED!

Early Sweet Cherries available.........Saturday May 19 thru June 3
Mid and Late Season Sweet Cherries.........June 4 thru possibly July 4 or hereabouts, weather permitting
Tart (Pie) Cherries...........We estimate that we will stat picking tart cherries June 2. Then continue as long as they last
Freestone Peaches.........Saturday July 21, picking as long as they last into August
Many Summer Apple Varieties........July 21 thru August 31
Gala Apples.........Friday July 27 thru September 1
Fall Season Apple Varieties.........September 1 until early December
